The Lagos state Chapter of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), yesterday said its members will not resume work, until the state government send recall letters to the sacked doctors.
The association was said to have been furious that the state Governor, Babatunde Fashola refused to address its members before recalling them, saying that the governor has violated the rules of civil service
On Thursday, the former Lagos state Governor, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, with some Chieftains of Action Congress of Nigeria (A.C.N) appealed to the incumbent governor, to reinstate the dismissed doctors.
But while addressing journalists in Lagos state yesterday, the NMA chairman Dr. Edamisan Temiye, said the latest development would determine the next line of action by the union
He alleged that the government did not communicate with the Medical Guild or affected doctors directly as required
