Davido to make acting debut in new Nollywood movie [PHOTOS]

Popular singer, David Adeleke, widely referred to as Davido has gotten his debut movie role.Movie moment reports that the “Skelewu” crooner got the movie role courtesy his cousin, Ikechukwu Ojeogwu, an actor cum producer. The OBO star would be working with popular Director, Teco Benson. “Davido is delighted over his Nollywood debut and he can’t wait for the project to kick off,”
Nollywood Actor, Ikechukwu Francis Ojeogwu disclosed. “This is Davido’s first movie appearance, I, as the producer, have been able to work out things in such a manner that it would be beneficial to us all. I’ve crafted out a role that I know would put him in a comfortable position and won’t make him either excessive or otherwise,”Speaking further, “Davido is quite delighted and very supportive on this project like he has always been and he’s so big that if he puts his hand in anything that doesn’t worth it, it would tarnish his image and what he has built for himself. He has a lot at stake, aside from the financial stake, his image is also at stake and he’s taking this as serious as any other business. “I know how big Davido is and I don’t want to put a lot of pressure on him because of his busy schedule and it is his first appearance. Furthermore, the script is in such a way that he doesn’t over shadow the beauty of the script but to add his weight to the success of the project,’ Ike told the online magazine.

The report also has it that the value of the mansion is around N140m – the price the property was on the market for. Although it has not been confirmed if he paid the advertised amount, the Dami Duro crooner, did not waste time with negotiations, as the deal to buy the house, was sealed between yesterday and today. The newly acquired property, is close to where his father also has a house in Lekki.

How Don Jazzy, D’Banj created beef between Wizkid, Davido

Fans dreaded this day, media experts predicted it, and even the artistes in question tried avoiding it, but it seemed inevitable from the very beginning – a once buoyant relationship between Ayo ‘Wizkid‘ Balogun and David ‘Davido‘ Adeleke has finally hit the rocks.
The young pop stars are currently at loggerheads, and NET can exclusively tell you that the vibrant ‘Wizzy’ and ‘Omo baba olowo’ are no longer on speaking terms.
Both artistes’ camps have taken sides and are on the verge of calling out names; the tension between both artistes keeps threatening the air of peace left.
Recently Davido and his HKN label crew were reported to have walked out of the NEA Awards show while Wizkid was performing. Fans are already asking questions, the most popular one being ‘what started it all?’
The dispute between Wizkid and Davido might seem sudden to the general public, but it dates back longer than we think. The cause? You’ll have to thank two very important men in the Nigerian music industry – D’banj and Don Jazzy.

“I suspect a certain Asa Asika has been lying to Davido about his music,” – A review of O.B.O

“Hype is the awkward and desperate attempt to convince journalists that what you’ve made is worth the misery of having to review it.” – Federico Fellini Davido had all the time in the world to hype his debut, but I have just this brief opportunity to tell the ugly truth about it. And tell it I will, because “the truth is always more heroic than the hype.” Fact: ‘Omo Baba Olowo’, that misnomer of an album, is a contrived collection of forgettable formulaic tracks. All sound and fury, signifying nothing. Clearly, someone (I suspect a certain Asa Asika) has been lying to Davido about his music. Or perhaps the notoriously shallow Nigerian music audience unwittingly invented the deception that is his so-called talent. Either way, the young man must have taken his sudden, almost Illuminati-ish rise to fame to the head, (mis)leading him to release a directionless, decidedly premature product as his debut album. To his credit, if he had recorded this hack job with a loaded and cocked shotgun aimed at his privates, he couldn’t have done much worse. *cue Homeric laughter* Inspired by
