New findings allege Wizkid signed 7-album deal with EME

It appears there are many more dramatic twists to Wizkid’s departure from Empire Mates Entertainment, EME, as a report by Africa Music Law, has suggested that the artiste signed a 7-album contract with the Banky W-owned label. According to the story, Wizkid never had an authentic deal with EME, but was forced to do so after he was denied a visa to the UK early last year. Africa Music Law wrote: About March 2012, when fans and the public screamed in excitement about the EME Wizkid UK Tour, Wizkid still did not have a legal contract. However, as a condition to perform in the UK and to get visas granted, the hosting country (UK) required a record contract evidencing Wizkid was signed to EME. EME, in a rush, put a contract together for Wizkid. (Alleged). The EME-Wizkid contract (the first signing of a record deal) had a term requiring a 7 album deal. They promised this contract will be amended to the “real contract” later. (Alleged). Wizkid went on to sign the deal, without engaging a lawyer to read the terms of the contract. However, he wants to renegotiate the length of the contract, the percentage how monies will be shared and more. He is said to be pursuing renegotiation, as it is what he was promised, while EME are sticking to the clauses in the deal he signed.

Wizkid has deleted Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) from his Twitter bio, amidst speculations that he has left the music label. The Banky W-owned EME, first spotted the sweet-voiced singer, when he was struggling to get a record deal and signed him on, from where he has become the superstar he is today. However, in the past weeks, there have been talk of Wizzie becoming bigger than the label and discontent from both parties. From his adjustments on his Twitter profile, it seems the bubble has finally burst. Wizkid has removed both EME and Kovict Music and replaced them with Godwin Tom – who took over from Osagie Osarenkhoe last year and @DisturbingLDN (which is said to be Tinie Tempah’s people), as his new management team. Wizkid also posted a series of cryptic tweets that read: “Moving on to start all over again!… F**k it!..” and “Don’t take loyalty for stupidity.. don’t!..” Things are expected to become clearer in the coming days.

Ghen Ghen! WizKid Goes Off On Upcoming Act On Twitter

This is not a sub from EME’s starboy, this is a full blown shotgun blast! WizKid apparently irritated by some comment by upcoming act, Fresh L, fired instantly “Fuck that nigga Fresh L,his crew,Label, management and every1 else that lied to him about his wack ass career!“. Whoa!!! Ok 2pac! He continued by adding “***some wack nigga i just made famous with one tweet!…” when asked by a fan who Fresh L was. So what did Fresh L say? Not entirely sure of the whole story but it seems Fresh L might have made a comment eluding to the fact that his label mate, BOJ based in the UK is better than WizKid. Again, we’re not sure if that’s all he said but that’s what we do know so far. We could talk about all the tweets but it’s much better to just show you, right? Here is a screen shot. With all this publicity something tells me, Fresh L aint really complaining. No publicity is bad publicity right?
