Omawumi, Waje, Lynxxx, Bez, Flavour unveiled as Glo Ambassadors

Nigerian telecoms giant Globacom, has
revealed its new brand Ambassadors,
putting an end to all speculation about
which entertainers would be signed on.
DailyPost can authoritatively confirm that
some of today’s most gifted acts are on the
list, including Omawumi, Waje, Flavour, Bez
and Lynxxx.
While Omawumi, Waje,
Lynxxx and Flavour have
already been showcased in
GLO’s number Portability campaign, others
like Bez and Tiwa Savage are expected to
follow. This was according to sources
familiar with the deal.
Meanwhile, this is the first time the telecom
giant is signing multiple
musicians at the same time.
Reports has it that the Mike Adenuga-
owned company is resting their deals with
Nollywood actors; heading towards a new
policy that favours pop stars, who are
believed to be more influential within the
youth segment, than their Nollywood

Bez Idakula Signs Music and Publishing Deal with Universal

Nigeria’s Bez Idakula has things going for him as the alternative soul singer scored a hit single with ‘The Stupid Song’ which features Praiz and recently inked a music and publishing deal with Universal. Bez who has been on a U.S. tour for his debut album “Super Sun” has gained critical acclaim in major media outlets including BBC world which described him recently as “The next big talent out of Nigeria.” Earlier in the year, The Boston Globe listed his Super Sun album as one of World music’s top albums of 2011. In March of this year, he performed live at SXSW courtesy of an All Africa showcase organized by media distribution platform, Spinlet. Bez recently featured in Essence Magazine’s “New and Next” column which spotlights the brightest new talents Essence would like to introduce to its readers.
