‘‘I’m happy Last Flight to Abuja is going places’’ – Omotola Ekeinde

Star actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has spoken on her newest movie, Last Flight to Abuja produced and directed by Obi Emelonye, the producer of The Mirror Boy. The Amnesty International Ambassador played the role of a busy Abuja-based lady that had to cut short her stay in the Federal Capital City in order to surprise her fiancé who is based in Lagos only to meet another lady in her pyjamas. On seeing the stranger in her fiancé’s apartment, Omotola decided to go back to her base thereby boarding the doomed last Flamingo flight to Abuja. After its successful premiere in London to a capacity crowd of 1500 people at the popular Troxy Cinema in East London, the a joyful Omotola stated, ‘’I am totally pleased to hear that it has been rated in four star by Odeon cinemas, UK; it’s a testament to the faith, perseverance and hardwork. Thank God, this is only the beginning”. Obi Emelonye’s new movie features stars like Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Jim Iyke, Hakeem Kae Kazeem, Ali Nuhu, Jide Kosoko, Celine Loader and a host of others. London premiere was also dedicated to the memory of the ill-fated Dana Air crash. It was shot on the Arri Alexa, the most expensive camera in the world. Last Flight to Abuja is expected to double the amount the previous film, Mirror Boy sold at the cinema. Mirror Boy was one of the highest grossing movies of 2011 with sales to the tune of N20m (twenty million). The movie will premiere Friday, August 3rd, 2012 and will be all over the cinemas the same day.
