Explosion hits Living Faith Church in Bauchi

The living Faith Church in Bauchi state witnessed a black Sunday this morning during church service when a suspected car bomb exploded near a church leading to several injuries and death. This was confirmed by the officials of the Nigerian Red cross and National Emergency Management Agency Nigerian Red Cross in Bauchi confirmed that at least 33 people had been wounded and taken to local hospitals. Presently, the area has been cordoned off by the security agents who have blocked even the emergency workers from going into the church. The Nigerian Red Cross officials said they suspected lives were lost during the blast but could not say exactly how may lives were lost since they have not been allowed to go into the church building to identify corpses Investigation reveals that a car parked inside the church building with an explosive led to the blast. A spokesman for Nigeria’s Federal Emergency Management Agency confirmed the explosion, but was unable to give details.
