I will Contest if… Buhari

The Formal Nigerian president and Presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, in the 2011 election, General Mohammadu Buhari, rtd, while speaking with some members of his party in Kaduna yesterday had identified three types of Boko Haram in the country while indicating that the Federal government as it stands now is the worst of THE THREE Boko Harams. He had referred to
the second group as those who have capitalized on the insurgence to kill people in the name of religion and the original Boko Haram initiated by the late Mohammed Yusuf. Speaking in Hausa language while addressing Niger State Caucus of the CPC,i Buhari had warned that if 2015 election failed to be transparent, it will be bloody and will taste bitter for everybody. He also denied report that he was not going to contest in 2015. According to Buhari, it is either free and fair election is conducted in 2015 or the concerned authority faces the consequences. “God willing, by 2015, something will happen. They either conduct a free and fair election or they go a very disgraceful way. “If what happened in 2011 (alleged rigging) should again happen in 2015, by the grace of God, the dog and the baboon would all be soaked in blood.’’ He did not elaborate further. On the issue of the three types of Boko Haram, the former president said, “I will like to quote Professor Ango Abdullahi that said there are three Boko Harams including the original one led by Muhammed Yusufu who was killed and his supporters tried to take revenge by attacking the law enforcement agencies and politicians. There is another developed Boko Haram of criminals who steal and kill… while the biggest Boko Haram is the Federal Government.” On his 2015 ambition, he said he will be declaring whether to contest or not after his party puts everything in order. “That was what I told those who have visited me in the past but the press wrote that I said I have changed my mind about re-contesting. In relation to the Boko Haram continuous operation he said: “Since the leaders now don’t listen to anybody but do whatever they wish, there is nothing the North can do.”
