Suspected LP Thugs Disrupt Adefarati’s Fifth Memorial Lecture In Akure

The fifth memorial Anniversary Lecture in honour of former Governor of Ondo State, Late Adebayo Adefarati today in Akure was marred by lawless hoodlums. The hoodlums, armed with dangerous weapons such cutlasses and broken bottles were said to have stormed the BTO hall, venue of the event around 10am They were denied entry into the hall on the basis of non-invitation to the event. Infuriated by the statement made by the organisers of the event that they were not invited to the event, they threw decorum into the winds and attacked guests who came to attend the event. Even with the arrival of the state police commissioner, Edgar Nanakumo to the venue of the event, the suspected LP thugs remained uncontrollable. Edgar Nanakumo left the scene without resolving the crisis. Shortly after the police boss left, the thugs went wild and started throwing pebbles at the guests while trying to gain entry. ACN Governorship Candidates have to run for safety. Senator Ajayi Borrofice, the Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District and Erudite Lawyer, Rotimi Akeredolu were denied entry to the event venue. Also the Vehicle of the former chairman of Labour Party, Chief Olaiya Oni’s vehicle was vandalized.
