Third Mainland Bridge to be ready by end of October

The construction company handling the repairs of the Third Mainland Bridge, Borini Prono Nigeria Limited said that work on the bridge that commenced on the 6th of July and scheduled to finish on the 6th of Nov will be wrapped up by the end of this month (October) Manager, Borini Prono Nigeria Limited Engr. Nastani Claudio said this while addressing the House of Representatives Sub-Committee on Works who were in Lagos for an on-the-spot assessment of the bridge and other projects yesterday. He told them that they were working on fixing the last three joints out of the eight joints of the bridge and concluded by saying that the bridge will not need to be repaired for the next 25 years after the current repairs. Federal Constituency, Kwara State said, “I want to take them by their words that they would deliver the project by the end of October, because only three joints are remaining. He was happy at the pace at which the construction company has been able to work on the bridge and noted that the major reason why road projects are delayed in South West is funding.
