The suit points at Chicago-based Boeing Co., which bought the McDonnell-Douglas manufacturer of the plane. It equally names Connecticut-based engine-maker Pratt & Whitney.Robb had stated that reports of engine failure clearly indicts the company. In a related development, the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, an arm of the Nigeria Labour Congress had on Thursday in the FCT described Nigeria as “a dumping ground for deficient aircraft.” SSANU, in a statement had advocated for the merger and acquisition of airlines in Nigeria, stating that such was the only way sanity could be returned to the aviation industry.
